She left Thornvale with two words, a broken marriage, and a secret beneath her heart.
The Duke believed he was banishing a guilty wife.
He never knew he was sending away his own heir.
Isolde Merrow was once the Duchess of Thornvale, a woman bound by vow to a man too proud to ask the one question that might have saved them both. Cast out in silence, judged by whispers, and erased from the world that should have protected her, she chooses dignity over begging — and raises her son far from the gates that should have opened for him.
Dorian Thornvale has spent twenty years inside the life he built after her departure: orderly, powerful, and empty in ways he refuses to name. But when a young architect appears in London with his jaw, her eyes, and a name society does not recognize, the past begins to move again.
A hidden heir. A false accusation. A letter never sent. And a wounded Duke forced to face the cost of one night of fury.
This emotional historical romance audiobook is a clean duke romance about pride, silence, feminine dignity, family secrets, and the slow, painful road toward redemption.
Watch until the end to discover whether remorse can restore what fury destroyed — or whether some wounds can only be honored, never undone.
Do you believe a man who ruined a woman’s life in anger can ever truly deserve her forgiveness?

This duke does not deserve any chance. Never visited his wife once in 20 years due to his pride and ego.
He sent her away in anger without knowing his own blood was walking beside her — some secrets don't stay buried, they grow up and knock on the door 😳
What a nothing shell of a story. There is so little development of characters and heart that there is no risk of emotional investment by the reader/listener. One could easily believe that this AI generated tale was not touched at all by a human hand. The only praise I can give it is that it is mercifully short.
Lovely but sad. Maybe giving him a second chance could make this a happier story.
