He was supposed to choose the perfect bride: the elegant sister trained to become a duchess. But in the quiet corners of a grand estate, the Duke of Westleigh meets Clara, the sister no one expected him to notice — and she sees the man beneath the title.
Set in late Victorian England, this emotional historical romance follows a duke trapped between duty, family expectation, and the one woman who refuses to flatter him. In a world of polished manners, arranged futures, and dangerous silence, Arthur must decide whether to obey the life prepared for him or choose the truth that finally lets him breathe.
Settle in for a quiet, intimate Victorian romance about duty, dignity, restraint, and the rare courage of being truly known.

CAN'T. ASSUME . OR. EXPECT. WHEN. THERE'S. 3. SISTER'S
GREAT. STORY. !!! THANK YOU …. I. THINK. I. HEARD THIS. STORY. BEFORE…. BUT. ITS. WORTH. HEARING AGAIN. 😊
A beautiful endearing story. Thank you ❤ Singapore
You tell a story of how a duke broke conventional rules because he courted one sister and chose the other in the end. You leave the audience hanging with his lie to the girls' father that, while he was suspending his pursuit of Eleanor, there was no one else. That's cowardly. I understand he is trying to shield Clara from whatever talk or ridicule that society would dish out at her, but you leave the audience hanging with the inevitable showdown between the parents and Arthur over his choice of Clara when he clearly indicated he's moving forward and there is no other love interest. Why did you skip that part? You go from the garden talk with the dad to three years later as a married couple.
"He broke the rules for the 'wrong' sister and ended up finding the right love — sometimes the heart knows exactly what it's doing even when everyone else says it's a mistake ❤
To assume and throw your daughter at someone, regardless of rank, then be angry that they didn't catch her. The parents should be ashamed. But the ton always throws dirt on the daughters caught in their parents ambitions. I was happy to see this couple dare to be true to what was developing between them, not to what was expected.
Excellent story! To think in those days, most desired riches; don’t we still? However the rules and expectations for the rich then were suffocating! I felt that feeling just through listening! I only wish that a baby has been in the picture before the ending since three years had elapsed. Well done, from Richmond, VA.
How do you come up with these stories. ??It must be difficult to keep thibgs straight!
She was sitting on a WROUGHT iron bench in the conservatory. Not a ROD iron bench.
It’s a pretty picture for that scene.
The N. American accent doesn't fit 19th century England.
It’s not Westlie, it’s Westlee
It’s not rod iron,it’s wrought iron. AI spoils these dramas for me.
Well narrated, thanks
❤❤ thank you!! great story!
After three years, we don’t have any children kind of strange. The stories are good, but they’re short and they don’t go into much detail about their love which and their life which brings up the children again no fond of this one. Just my two cents.
This is a well written story. I enjoyed the selection of photos that added to the saga. Thanks for posting it. Your work is much appreciated! From Amelia Island 🇺🇸
Reading from Fiji❤❤
Such a well told tale
I was hooked until the very end
Great choice of narrator, he really conveyed the story in the best way possible❤
Satisfying story, except no children at the end. Disappointing.
It is disconcerting to have the wrong voice saying the words. It becomes very hard to follow the story, which appears to be quite good. Perhaps it would be better NOT to use voices, or perhaps the editing just needs to be better..
I would have liked a child or two between them after 3 years of marriage
South Africa ❤❤
Loved the story soddy daisy tn
The duke is a very handsome man.
I just don’t understand what this story has got to do with me.
When a man courts 2 sisters he should do so in private. It’s none of my business to be aware of his women penchants.
Also not the type who enjoys ballrooms. Full of insipid people and boring conversations.
Good story. Ty!
Good Story, well narrated. I am now a new subscriber.
Preposterous.
